Circus of Freaks 1.0
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(c) 1996 Nds All rights reserved universe-wide ...
*NOTE* Look under the registration section to see the Christmas
1996 special!
-+- COF is short for Circus of Freaks -+-
+----------------------------------------------------------------------+
If you have not yet looked at a previously relased IGM of mine,
Terror Extreme, do it now! It most likely is wherever you found this!
+----------------------------------------------------------------------+
I. Legal Disclaimer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hate writing documentation so bear with me.
This LORD IGM contains no profanity whatsoever. However it makes some
reference to 'Midget'. I in no means have anything against people if
they are short, tall, fat, skinny, or from Mars. I have nothing against
bearded women either. Everything contained in here is for satire only.
If you are looking for something derrogotive or racial then you have
found the wrong IGM. I also have nothing against circus mimes.
You may distribute this archive in it's unmodified form. If you intend
to put this on a CD, you must put the original, unmodified archive on
with all the original files it, no need to contact me, but it would be
appreciated if you do.
You may not hex edit, or change in any way, any of the files. It would
be a crime if you do, as I hold the copyright on all files.
(End of standard legal junk everyone skips past.)
II. About the IGM
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Circus of Freaks is a LORD IGM where the user can destroy the circus.
There are three primary tents the user may enter, each filled with it's
own options.
- Blue Tent
Here the user can sabbotage things such as loosen the tent stakes or
start trouble with the circus midgets, just to name a couple.
- Green Tent
Here the user may enter a competition depending on his/her skill.
- Pink Tent
Here the user may donate to the circus, and get rewarded, or beat up
the circus mime.
This is just some of what's inside. I'll let you try it out and decide
if you think it's worth putting in your LORD game.
If you find any errors, please report them to me!
Files marked by a + are not included, but are created at runtime.
III. Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unzip in a temporary directory (or any directory for that matter), then
run CINST.EXE the installation/configuration program.
[E] Set this to define whether COF logs the users activity. (This is
best used on deciding whether or not to register.)
[L] This sets the full path to LORD and it's files. The format of the
string you enter should be like: C:\BBS\LORD However, it really
doesn't need the drive letter if it is to be installed on the
same drive.
[S] This sets the "Thanks" to registering string, if the game is
registered, it will accept this and display it when the IGM
is started. Great for when a user decides to help register.
Default string is 'Lynyrd Skynyrd' :)
[I] This checks to see if you have set the path, and will copy
over the IGM files to the LORD path. It also puts itself
in the 3RDPARTY.DAT file. I have taken ALOT of time into
testing and making sure nothing goes wrong here. But, if
for some wierd reason it doesn't install it right, all you
need to do is copy over COF.EXE, CINST.EXE, and CIRCFG.DAT
to the LORD directory (make sure you defined the LORD path
first). And modify the 3RDPARTY.DAT file so LORD finds it.
Simple, eh?
[U] This will not delete anything, it just takes the entry out
of the 3RDPARTY.DAT. Please note that the 3RDPARTY.DAT file
is always backed up to 3RDPARTY.BAK before the install or
uninstall!
[Q] Exits the program.
CINST.EXE will copy over the config file to the LORD path after
configuring each time.
IV. Registration Features

the cost is just $8 instead of $10! Your registration must be sent
and postmarked no later then January 1 1997! Any registrations
recieved/not postmarked by this date MUST have the full amount.

Until the beginning of 1997, both IGM's together are only $8 !!

If you have already Registered Terror Extreme before 1997 then COF
will only cost you $4 until the end of the year!

*1996 Christmas Registration Special!*
+---------------------------------------------------------------------+
Registration is only 5 US Dollars ($5) if registered by itself.
It will not only support the few hours I spent developing this, but will
make you feel better deep down inside.
If registered this IGM will enable the user to lace the circus
elephants food with Exlax, will let them go Berserk on the midgets,
and will let them enter the Pink Tent.
I ask you either send in the $5 (preffered) and support this IGM
or remove it off your system, although it is NOT required that
you remove it.
Registering this IGM will help me make it that much better, by
continuing support on this. All upgrades will be free. I have included
the registration form in this file, as to lessen the clutter (as a sysop
myself, I know what having many IGM's can do to clutter things).

I am NOT responsible for *ANYTHING* sent in the mail. If you send in a
registration with cash, and some lazy postal worker gets ahold of it,
you are out of luck. This rarely happens though, Ive always used
security lined enveloped with cash before with no problem.
All money orders and checks will be processed first (usually same day
upon receipt) before I send out the registration key.
Sending cash may be slightly faster in receiving the key, however.
If you do not have a printer, please manually copy everything down
on paper, then fill out. Thank you.
